Boddhisatya Tarafdar is professionally a banker. He is from Kolkata & from a Bengali family. He did his education being in Guwahati, Assam. He completed his graduation in Economics in 2005 and after that did his MBA. He worked with a reputed stock broking organisation for some time before joining the banking industry in 2008. Boddhisatya completed his masters in Mass Communication after joining the bank, then MA in History, studied Museology (Museum Studies).

He is also a reader of Indian History and a big admirer of the revolutionary freedom fighters of India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose & his Indian National Army who fought against the colonial British to liberate India. He is also an author, blogger, columnist & founder-curator of BRIL Virtual Museum.
